FIBA reportedly interested in joining Euroleague organization

A meeting between FIBA and Euroleague is scheduled in the next few days

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, an important meeting will be held in the next few days between Euroleague and FIBA. The International federation seems avalaible to let Euroleague organize two competitions in the next five years, Euroleague and another one, but for letting them doing it FIBA will ask to join the Euroleague Commercial Assets.

FIBA wants to be an important part of the future of European competitions and a shared solution with Euroleague may be very important.

Looks like FIBA has realized the weak position they are in. Still, Euroleague should decline any further cooperation because it is clear that FIBA only wants this so they can have some power.
