Euroleague Game 10: Sportando Team of the Week

Jayson Granger the MVP of the week

EuroLeague

MVP - Jayson Granger (Unicaja Malaga)
Malaga is able to get to the Top 16 thanks to a road win in Florence (64-62) in a do or die game against Siena. Granger controls the tempo and leads the offense with patience, is able to get to the rim with ease and plays good physical defense on opponents' guards, often guarding Daniel Hackett. He also scores clutch baskets late in the game, including the incredible shot at the buzzer which gives to Malaga the win. In the game he has 13 PTS, 6 RBS and 18 EV.

Justin Dentmon (Zalgiris Kaunas)
In Bamberg Dentmon shows once again that he can find the basket with astonishing ease: the American guard has his Euroleague career high and scores 9 points in the 24-11 fourth quarter that gives to Zalgiris the road win (84-80) and keeps Brose Baskets out of the Top 16. He has 26 PTS, 7 RBS, 4 AST, 6 FD and 27 EV and entering in the Top 16 he's averaging almost 17 points per game with an incredible 53% shooting from beyond the arc (34/64).

Sergio Rodriguez (Real Madrid)
24 PTS, 5 AST, 30 EV, 6/6 from beyond the arc. Just as in the game in Madrid, Rodriguez dominates the game with little struggle, allowing his team to grab the road win in Istanbul in order to stay undefeated (86-61). Other than providing high-level playmaking, he scores 14 of his points in the key break during the fourth quarter, with a ridiculous 4/4 from beyond the arc.

Lamont Hamilton (Laboral Kutxa)
Once again his hustle plays and toughness in the paint are really important for Laboral Kutxa: in the home win against Lokomotiv Kuban (84-71) which gives them the second spot in Group D, his defense, rebounding prowess and good screens on offense inspires the comeback, while his presence in the paint allows a better spacing on the perimeter, giving a lot of open looks to the Spanish shooters. He also steps up on the offensive end, scoring a couple of pivotal threes in the crucial run at the end of the third quarter. He finishes with 14 PTS, 5 RBS and 16 EV in 18 minutes of play, holding all the opponents' big men scoreless while on the court.

Boban Marjanovic (Crvena Zvezda Belgrade)
Both Lietuvos Rytas and Crvena Zvezda Belgrade are already out of the Top 16 before the game, which is not really intense. Nonetheless Marjanovic is impressive and has a pivotal role in order to get the road win (99-75): his huge presence is unmatchable by Lithuanian big men, and he has really no trouble at all in scoring in the paint, finishing with 25 PTS (13 in the first quarter) on a 11/13 shooting, 11 RBS and 33 EV in less than 18 minutes on the court.
