Euroleague Game 4: Sportando Team of the Week

DeMarcus Nelson is the MVP

EuroLeague

MVP - DeMarcus Nelson (Crvena Zvezda Belgrade)
With his physical game the American guard is the main factor in the huge road win in Vitoria (63-73). He's relentless in attacking the basket, being able to easily absorb contacts and score in the paint, and he also surprisingly shoots 2/3 from three point range. Furthermore, he plays as usual terrific defense on opponents' guards and catches a good amount of pivotal rebounds, while finishing with 22 PTS, 7 RBS (4 on the offensive end), 5 FD and 31 EV.

Malcolm Delaney (FC Bayern Munich)
19 PTS, 11 FD, 30 EV. With his astonishing quickness Delaney is able to beat almost any defender in Euroleague and to easily drive to the basket. In the home win against Unicaja (82-68), he's unguardable by opponents' guard and scores 19 points (8 of which in the pivotal first quarter) while shooting only three times from the field: he draws 11 fouls and shoots 15 times from the free throw line, connecting on 14 of these shots.

Juan Carlos Navarro (FC Barcelona)
In the crucial home win against CSKA (79-70), Navarro leads the decisive break with 13 points in the third quarter (out of Barcelona's 27) after that the Spanish team was trailing by 5 at the halftime. In the game he has 20 PTS (while shooting 6/9 from the field), 5 FD, 25 EV and a +23 plus/minus.

Emir Preldzic (Fenerbahçe)
Bojan Bogdanovic has a huge shooting night in Belgrade, but the most important player of the Turkish team is Preldzic, who has exceptionally flourished under coach Obradovic: he's hardly stoppable on pick and roll plays given his huge size and slashing ability, while his high IQ and unique passing tools are essential to the team's ball movement. Preldizc has 4 assists during the pivotal break in the third quarter, and also hits a crucial shot in the fourth, with a tremendous long three that gives to Fenerbahçe a 6-point lead. He finishes with 11 PTS, 6 RBS, 8 AST and 18 EV.

Joffrey Lauvergne (Partizan Belgrade)
In Belgrade Lauvergne has become one of the toughest big men in Europe: in the home loss against Fenerbahçe (78-88) he plays an impressive game in the paint, scoring with ease thanks to his excellent footwork. He also has the will to play through contact on defense and to fight for the rebound, being once again a key factor for Partizan. He has 20 PTS, 10 RBS (5 on the offensive end), 5 FD and 28 EV, and right now he leads Euroleague in rebounding with 11.8 per game.
