Eurocup regular season Game 5 MVP: Courtney Fells, Hapoel Jerusalem

A great performance in a make-or-break battle not only kept former champion Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem in the mix to reach the Last 16, but the star of the game, Courtney Fells, also reaped Eurocup Regular Season Game 5 MVP honors with a performance index ranking of 41. Fells led Hapoel to a much-needed home win over BC Prienai with 25 points – the last 3 of which at the buzzer made a huge difference in the tiebreak battle too. Overall he made 10 of 11 two-point shots, 1 of 2 three-pointers and 2 of 2 free throw attempts. He added 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, a block and 5 fouls drawn to amass a 41 index. Malcolm Delaney of BC Budivelnik Kiev led his team to a 72-62 triumph over CEZ Basketball Nymburk with 28 points on 12-of-13 free throw shooting, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 12 fouls drawn, good for a 39 index. Drake Diener of Banco di Sardegna Sassari reached a 37 index in his team's 76-85 road win against Cajasol Seville. Diener had 31 points on 7-of-9 three-point shooting, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Dusan Djordjevic of Telenet Oostende, index 35, and Juston Doellman of Valencia Basket, 34, complete the list of top individual performances this week.

Drake Diener scored 31 points against Cajasol to become the week's top scorer. Walter Hodge is the Eurocup's new scoring leader at 21.6 points per game. D'or Fischer of BC Donetsk led all rebounders by pulling down 13 in his team's road win against PBC Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Aleks Maric of Lokomotiv remains the No. 1rebound this season with 8.6 boards per night. Travis Diener of Sassari and Frank Turner of Trefl Sopot each dished 10 assists this week. Travis Diener stays atop the assists table at 9.4 per game. Fells, Roger Grimau of Bilbao Basket and Maksym Pustozvonov of BC Donetsk each collected 4 steals in regular season Game 5. Nikos Pappas of Panionios BC Athens and Mire Chatman of Unics Kazan are tied for first place at 2.6 steals per game. Anthony King had 4 blocks this week. Chuck Davis of Banvit BK Bandirma is first overall with 1.6 rejections per game. Nine different players registered double-doubles this week. Ivan Radenovic (10 points, 10 rebounds) and Fischer (12 points, 13 rebounds) were the only teammates. Latavious Williams of Cajasol (16 points, 12 rebounds) did so in his debut.
