Week 2 MVP: J.R. Giddens, PAOK BC

Action kept on going strong in Week 2 of the Eurocup regular season, and so did PAOK BC's J.R. Giddens, who, with an index rating performance of 32, earned MVP of the Week honors, an award to which only players from winning teams are eligible. Giddens scored 22 points including 3 of 3 from the arc, pulled 12 rebounds and had 2 steals for the best individual winning performance of the week. Following Giddens was Lokomotiv Kuban's Jeremiah Massey with an index rating performance of 31, thanks to his also 22 points and 12 rebounds. KRKA Novo Mestos's Allan Ray was third in line with an index rating of 26 including 6 of 8 triples. Completing the top five winning performances of the week were CEZ Nymburk's Pavel Pumprla (24) and four players tied at 23: Pape Sy of BCM Gravelines, Dashaun Wood of Alba Berlin, Jarvis Varnado of Hapoel Jerusalem and Valery Likhodey of Spartak St. Petersburg.


Individual highs: Hasan Rizvic, 13 rebounds


Ray and Alba Berlin's Dashaun Wood were the best scorers of the night with 23 points apiece to lead their respective teams to victories. Hasan Rizvic of BC Azovmash led the way in rebounds with his 13, despite his team's loss. Lietuvos Rytas' Aleksandar Rasic was the perfect conductor for his team's win with 7 assists. Massey was also the player with the most steals this week with 5, an honor he shared with CEZ Nymburk's Radek Necas. Finally, Aris BSA 2003's Sam Muldrow was the best stopper in defense with his 4 blocks over BC Rudupis to help the Greek team get its first win of the season.
