In a more intense game than expected, Bizkaia Bilbao Basket defeated Panellinios, and was the team ranked 3rd in the 2009-10. The Greek team tried to go home with a win, but the Basque team, guided by Marko Banic (15 points), Álex Mumbrú (14) and Axel Hervelle (just 3 points, but 10 rebounds). The control of the paint (15 offensive rebounds for Bilbao against 3 for Panellinios) was the key of the game. For the Greek side, the center Ian Vougioukas, with 17 points (but only 3 rebounds), was the top scorer of the modest team, who will be remembered as the fourth best team in this EuroCup.
