Cholet made two final moves as it prepares for the start of the season by signing small forward Sammy Mejia and playmaker Arvydas Eitutavicius. The club also released point guard Jose Olivero. Mejia (198, 26) arrives from Greek side AEL Larissa, where he averaged 14.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 20 Greek League games last season. Mejia made a name for himself during a college basketball career at De Paul University, where he averaged 14.1 points and 5.9 as a senior during the 2006-07 season. He played briefly for Fort Worth in the NBDL the next year, averaging 19.5 points and 8.4 rebounds in 13 games, and later 11 points and 5.2 rebounds for Pierrel Capo d'Orlando, helping that team reach the Italian League playoffs.

Eitutavicius (188, 27) arrives from Neptunas Klaipeda in his native Lithuania where he averaged 11.9 points and 3.5 assists in 20 Baltic League games last season. Eitutavicius spent much of his career to date in the United States, heading there for high school and then playing college basketball at American University, where he averaged 11.6 points and 2.1 assists per game as a senior in the 2006-07 season. He began his professional career the following year at Baloncesto Ciudad Real in Spain, recording 20.2 points and 2 assists in 24 games.
