Turow brings in Michael Wright

PGE Turow Zgorzelec announced the signing of big man Michael Wright. Wright (203, 29) arrives from Turk Telekom, where he averaged 14.6 points and 5 rebounds in 10 Eurocup games last season. Despite his size, Wright is a pivot player with an impressive array of low post moves. By signing with Turow, he returns to the country in which he began his professional career. Wright played eight Euroleague games for Idea Slask Wroclaw in the 2001-02 season. He also helped the club win the Polish League and was named MVP of the finals. Wright He later appeared in the Euroleague with Pau-Orthez of France in the 2006-07 season. Other stops in his career include Granada in Spain, Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel, Alba Berlin in Germany and Besiktas ColaTurka in Turkey. Wright enters the season with a career 17.9 points per game average in the Eurocup, the fourth best of any player. Wright is also fourth in offensive rebounds per game with a 2.8 average and is ranked eighth on the Eurocup career points scored list with 663 and fourth on the offensive rebounding list with 103.
