Azovmash brings back Podorvannyy
La guardia torna all'Azovmash
Azovmash Mariupol announced that shooting guard Yevgeniy Podorvannyy is back in the team, as he signed a one-year contract with the Ukrainian League powerhouse. Podorvannyy (194, 31) arrives from Sumykhimprom, where he averaged 8.4 points and 2 rebounds in 28 Ukrainian League games last season. He had become a free agent, as the team folded this summer. Podorvannyy has already played for Azovmash for three consecutive seasons since summer 2005, helping the team to lift three consecutive Ukrainian League trophies in 2006, 2007 and 2008. He also started his career in Mariupol back in the late nineties before joining MBC Nikolaev. Podorvannyy has been a member Ukrainian National Team and also helped Azovmash to reach the FIBA EuroCup title game in 2007. "Azovmash always tries to do well in all competitions," Podorvannyy said. "I would like to win the Ukrainian League and the Ukrainian Cup titles, as well as reaching far in the Eurocup."
