Spartak SPB lands scorer Evgeny Kolesnikov

BC Spartak St. Petersburg announced the addition of guard Evgeny Kolesnikov for the next two seasons. Last season Kolesnikov (195, 23) played with VEF Riga where he averaged 18.1 points in 31 Latvian League games. He bettered that in the Baltic League, where in 24 games he posted a scoring average of 19.4. Kolesnikov grew up in the youth teams of CSKA Moscow from 2002 to 2004 and after that played in several Russian League teams including Samara, Spartak Primorje and Ural Great before moving to Latvia to see more playing time. Kolesnikov is now back to Russia, ready to make his Eurocup debut with Spartak.
