Eurocup market news (8th-16th of August)

SLUC Nancy of France announced the addition of forward Kaniel Dickens (31, 203), arriving from Cimberio Varese of the Italian second division. There, he averaged 13.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in over 24 minutes per game, leading the team to the first spot of the standings.

BC Triumph announced the addition of three Russian players to the roster. Two players arrive at the forward spot - Nikita Shabalkin (23, 206) and Konstantin Nesterov (28, 205) - and one at center, Sergey Varlamov (25, 210).


BC Siauliai keeps adding strength to its roster to face the Eurocup campaign. The newcomer this time is forward Deividas Gailius (200, 21), arriving from Neptunas of the Lithuanian League. Last season, Gailius averaged 12 points and 4.6 rebounds in over 28 minutes per game in the domestic competition, while in the Baltic League his numbers were 14.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in over 29 minutes per night.

Cholet Basket announced the closing of its roster with the addition of French guard Rodrigue Mels (187, 24) for one season. Mels arrives from having played college ball in the CSU Northridge Matadors, where he averaged 9.0 points, 1.3 assists, 1.5 setals and 2.5 rebounds in over 18 minutes per game.

Gran Canaria made official the contract renewal of forward Jim Moran (200, 30) for two more years. Moran will therefore stay in Gran Canaria until the end of the 2010-11 season. The Spanish team also inked the free agent Will McDonald, last year at Tau Ceramica.
