Arrivo per i campioni di Cechia
Perennial Czech League champion CEZ Basketball Nymburk confirmed the arrival of power forward Vincent Hunter, who inked a one-year deal with his new club on Thursday. Hunter (208, 24) arrives from Zlatorog Lasko, where he averaged 13.2 points and 6.7 rebounds in 24 Slovenian League games last season. He boosted his scoring average to 18.3 points in the semifinals against Union Olimpija. Hunter had started the 2008-09 season with Forssan Koripojat, averaging 17.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 17 Finnish League games before joining Lasko. He comes off his first pro season after finishing his four-year college career at the University of Arkansas (NCAA). Hunter helped the Razorbacks to lift the NCAA Tournament title in 2008. "Vincent is a talented player that will help us around the basket. He is able to run the break and shoot from outside," Nymburk head coach Muli Katzurin said. "He is young but already played in Europe this season. He knows what to expect from European basketball and that is important for us."
