Red Star, the president resign from his position

In the middle of negotiation with coach Svetislav Pesic, who seemed close to re-sign with Red Star, the president of the Serbian team, Slobodan Vucicevic, resigned from his position.

"One year ago I have accepted the place of president when no one was ready to accept this responsible task. All the obligations to the player will be settled by the 15th of July. I resign now because I think that there is time for the management to build a competitive roster for the coming season. The most important element of my discontent is that the coach and the players did not recognize the depth of the impact of the economic crisis on our team" said the president.
