Whiting makes switch from Quakenbrueck to Duesseldorf

The Giants Duesseldorf (1. Bundesliga) have signed Zack Whiting (193-G-84, college: Chaminade). The 24-year-old already played for Coach Achim Kuczmann in Leverkusen during 2007-08. In Quakenbrueck he saw only limited minutes. The Dragon officials admitted that Whiting didn't fit into the playing system of Coach Thorsten Leibenath. The Giants were happy to get Whiting as Fred Peete (193-G-84, agency: Pro One Sports, college: N.Mexico St.) asked to leave with immediate effect due to personal reasons. The Duesseldorf accepted Peete's wish and decided to let him go.
