Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt signed teenage big man Aaron Kayser to a multiyear contract
Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt signed teenage big man Aaron Kayser to a multiyear contract, the club announced Tuesday. The deal is for two seasons with a club option for the 2020-21 season. Kayser (2.05 meters, 19 years old) spent last season with NINERS Chemnitz in the German ProA league, where he averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in a reserve role last season. He played in the youth system at Mitteldeutscher Basketball Club before that. Kayser represented Germany at under-18 European Championships last summer in Slovakia.
"One of the reasons why I wanted to come to Frankfurt is the excellent training conditions," Kayser said. "The gym is available 24 hours and there are always very good trainers on site to train with. I want to work hard on my goal, not lose sight of the Bundesliga and learn from mistakes. I will play for the first time in the ProB and would like to gain a lot of experience in the league. In training, I want to prove myself as good as I can and take one step at a time to make it into the Bundesliga squad."
