EuroCup generated €4 million this season, each club got an average of €125.000
The money are allocated in three different pools: Covered Expenses Pool, Sports Pool, Market Pool
Jordi Bertomeu, during a meeting with some media at the EuroLeague Final Four in Belgrade, explained how much money EuroCup generated this season and how the money are shared among the 24 teams.
“We never distribute more money than we get. We never subsyde the competition” Bertomeu said. “The EuroLeague winner get €1 million (the same as the Basketball Champions League winner). EuroCup generated €4 million this season”.
The money are allocated in three different pools:
Covered Expenses Pool (€1m): to cover the officiating expenses
Sports Pool (€2m): all clubs
Market Pool (€1m): Distribution made based upon the Media Rights value in each territory
Each club got an average of €125.000.
