With a late show of force before its devoted home crowd on Wednesday, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia qualified to the 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals for the first time in club history. Among the protagonists of that historic achievement was guard Chris Wright, who also earned the MVP honor for Quarterfinals Game 3 with a performance index rating of 34. Wright's 25 points led Reggio Emilia to a 105-99 win over Zenit St Petersburg in do-or-die Game 3. His PIR and points total were EuroCup career highs for Wright. He also matched his personal bests in rebounds (6), steals (3) and minutes (30).Wright's 9 points and 3 assists in the fourth quarter helped decide the game and the series. Wright hit 8 of 11 two-point shots, 1 of 2 three-pointers and 6 of 8 free throws on the night. Reggie Redding of FC Bayern Munich had a PIR of 32 in his team's series-clinching home win against UNICS Kazan. Redding finished the game with 23 points, one shy of his career high, on 5-of-6 two-point, 3-of-6 three-point and 4-of-4 free-throw shooting. He added 7 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal, a block and 3 fouls drawn. Amedeo Della Valle of Reggio Emilia had a PIR of 25 against Zenit, scoring 20 points on 10-of-11 free throws, dishing 3 assists and drawing 7 fouls.

Individual highs: Stephane Lasme of UNICS sets season-long blocks record

Wright was this round's top scorer with 25 points. Dmitry Kulagin of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar was the quarterfinals' best scorer at 26 per game, a quarterfinals record. Redding, Melvin Ejim of UNICS and Kyle Kuric of Zenit each had 7 rebounds in Game 3. Jalen Reynolds of Reggio Emilia was the best rebounder in this phase, with 8.0 per game. Stefan Jovic of Bayern and Quino Colom of UNICS each dished 7 assists on Wednesday. Jovic also led the quarterfinals in assists at 6.3 per night. Wright and Maurice Ndour of UNICS each had 3 steals in Game 3. Ndour and Malcolm Griffin each collected 5 steals in three quarterfinals game. Lasme had three blocks to set a new single-season blocks mark at 47. Lasme was the best shot blocker in the quarterfinals at 2.33 per game.
