Coach Stalbergs says he was asked to run KK Lietkabelis' practice today and then he was fired again
The coach is sitting at home waiting for official announcements
Arturs Stalbergs, who was fired by KK Lietkabelis Saturday, spoke with Andrejs Silins of Sportacentrs.
The Latvian coach said that today he was asked to run Lietkabelis practice and then at the end of the workout he was fired again.
“The decision was unexpected for me” the coach said. “The reason was because of team’s poor performance. The most interesting thing is that this morning at 10.20 I was called by the GM of the team and he told me I should be in the training facility because I am the head coach. We ran the morning workout but after the practice I was released again. There is no official decision from my club about dismissal neither me nor my agent understand anything. I think that also the management doesn’’t understand how things are going. There is a lack of communication between them. We are sitting at home waiting for more news” Stalbergs said.
