Galatasaray signs Scotty Hopson
He signed a one-year deal
Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul strengthened its roster weeks ahead of its 7DAYS EuroCup return by inking small forward Scotty Hopson to a one-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Hopson (2.01 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Ironi Nahariya, where he averaged 15.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in 18 Israeli League games last season. He started the 2016-17 season with Cedevita Zagreb, averaging 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in two 7DAYS EuroCup games before joining Nahariya in February. Hopson started his career with VAP Kolossos Rhodes of Greece and also played for Anadolu Efes Istanbul of Turkey, Cleveland of the NBA, Sioux Falls of the D-League, Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz of Spain and Guangzhou Long Lions of China. Hopson shined in the 2013-14 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, averaging 15.5 points on excellent shooting percentages (68.5% 2FG, 48.4% 3FG) and 4.2 rebounds in 11 games with Efes.
