Pierre Jackson leaves KK Cedevita, joins Texas Legends
The guard returns to NBA D-Leafue
The Legends have announced guard Pierre Jackson has joined the team and is expected to be in uniform for Thursday’s game against the Greensboro Swarm. Jackson (5-10, 180, Baylor) was acquired by the Legends in March via a trade with the Idaho Stampede. In two seasons with Baylor, he averaged 16.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.7 steals and was named Las Vegas Classic MVP and National Invitation Tournament MVP. Jackson was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2013 NBA Draft (42nd overall) by the Philadelphia 76ers. As a rookie, Jackson played 31 games with the Stampede averaging 29.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.9 steals, setting a single-game scoring record for the league and earning a spot in the NBA Development League All-Star Game. Last season, Jackson joined Idaho for 8 games before going overseas where he averaged 20.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and 2.0 steals in 7 games.
