The American guard moved from Sassari to Reggio last summer and lost the Serie A Championship in Game 7 against his former team.
Diener ended the season averaging 12.2 points in Serie A with 5.5 rebounds and 3 assist per game.
During the playoffs he had an average of 7.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
