Eurocup Semifinals Game 1 MVP: Bojan Dubljevic, Valencia Basket

The time has come in the Eurocup to know what champions are made of! Only four teams are still alive and started the Semifinal series this week with the respective openers and when the dust settled, Bojan Dubljevic of Valencia Basket emerged as MVP of the week thanks to an index rating performance of 31, the most among all winning players. Dubljevic led his team to a 84-75 home win over Nizhny Novgorod thanks to his 24 points - 6 of 11 twos, 2 of 4 threes and 6 of 6 free throws -, 12 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn. His teammate Pau Ribas was next in line with an index rating performance of 26, thanks to his 17 points - 4 of 6 threes -, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. In between those two players, but not eligible to be MVP because his team lost, was Nizhny Novgorod's Dijon Thompson with an index rating of 30 to complete the podoim of the best three individual performances of the Semifinals Game 1.

Individual highs: Valencia Basket dominates semis openers

Thompson was this week's top scorer thanks to his 25 points against Valencia, and following him was the MVP, Dubljevic, with his 24. Dubljevic was also the player with the most rebounds with his 12 - 6 defensive and 6 offensive -. Two more players grabbed boards in double digits, both from Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade: Tadija Dragicevic with 11 and Boban Marjanovic with 10. Ribas of Valencia was the best passer with his 6 assists, only followed by teammate Oliver Lafayette and his 5 decisive passes. There was no steals leader this week, as nobody managed to get more than 2, and six players got to get 2 apiece. Last but not least, in the blocks department, another Valencia player, Justin Doellman, was the only one with more than one stopped shot as he managed to get 2 blocks, becoming the leader this week.
