Sasha Djordjevic: 'Basketball is ruined by highlights'

Sasha Djordjevic will be a tv analyst today for the Eurocup final between Bilbao Basket and Lokomotiv Kuban. The Serbian legend spoke with Tuttosport about basketball. According to Djordjevic, basketball, like other sports is ruined by highlights.

"'Basketball like other sports is ruined by highlights. Guys look at most spectacular actions and try to mimic that without considering the work behind it, the fundamentals, the speed, the defensive position. The young players should go to the bathroom doing defensive slides" said Djordjevic. "Youngsters must understand that they have to work harder. They must be ready to sacrifice everything for the sport. People should watch the documentary made by Canal+ on Leo Westermann, a 20-year old player of Partizan Belgrade" added the former PG.
