The Basketball Champions League has hosted its first ever TV Directors and Media Managers Workshop from Monday to Wednesday at the FIBA House of Basketball.

16 directors from 10 different countries attended the TV Workshop which utilised the FIBA TV Academy learning tool. The two-day get together enabled everyone to share experiences and ideas from the inaugural season and to begin the planning regarding the broadcast production for the forthcoming season.

26 Media Managers who were the on-site presence during the season were present at the Operations Workshop and once again the various procedures and experiences were reviewed in readiness for the new season.

"It was great to have so many TV Directors and Media Managers here in Mies", said Patrick Comninos, CEO of the Basketball Champions League. "We have truly valued their on-site contribution for the first season. They have been very positive and active in working with us for the new season which already promises to be an exciting one. I also take the opportunity to thank the FIBA Media team for their organisation of the Workshops”, he said.

Basketball Champions League works with FIBA Media and market-leading sports media company Perform to produce all games (324 games during this 2016-17 inaugural season) to the highest technical standards and production values. The investment in quality ensures the clubs and the competition benefits from the best possible domestic and international TV and digital media exposure.
