Comninos: Happy that top Italian teams expressed interest in participating in Champions League

Basketball Champions League Commissioner, Patrick Comninos, released a statement to Sportando regarding the recent decision from the Italian League regarding the European Cups.
The Italian teams will be free to choose in which competition they want to play next season, considering that Italy has one spot in EuroLeague (Olimpia Milano), two in EuroCup (but they are trying to get a third team) and three in Basketball Champions League.

“Now that the Basketball Champions League is up and running, clubs have facts and experience in order to make their selection. We are happy that so many top Italian clubs have expressed their interest in participating in the Champions League next season and we look forward to it” Patrick Comninos said.
