Basketball Champions League Play-Off Draws completed

The draws of the first two phases of the Basketball Champions League Play-Offs have been completed on Friday in FIBA’s House of Basketball, in the presence of representatives of the 24 participating clubs

The draws of the first two phases of the Basketball Champions League Play-Offs have been completed on Friday in FIBA’s House of Basketball, in the presence of representatives of the 24 participating clubs.

 

The 24 clubs were drawn for the Play-Off Qualifiers (7-8 and 21-22 February) and the Round of 16 (28 February-1 March and 7-8 March).  These clubs have been ranked according to their final position within their respective groups during the Regular Season.

 

16 clubs were concerned with the Play-Off Qualifiers whose games will be played over two rounds (Feb 7-8 and Feb 21-22) on head-to-head format.

The Round of 16 draw has then been completed and concerned the teams ranked 1 to 8. Games will also be played over two rounds (Feb 28/Mar 1 and Mar 7/8) on head-to-head format.

Amongst those in attendance were FIBA President Horacio Muratore, FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann and ULEB President Tomas Van Den Spiegel. They were joined by a number of recognisable basketball alumni, including Italy’s Riccardo Pittis and Dino Radja from Croatia. Both were on stage to assist with the Draw.
