EUROHOLD BIBL to start a Junior Balkan League
This idea is from the last season and it was approved by FIBA Europe
EUROHOLD BIBL will start a Junior Balkan League from the next season. This idea is from the last season and it was approved by FIBA Europe. Then at the Board Meeting at the end of May all the member federations also agreed on this and the League started the work to create it.
The fact that there will be no team from Israel in the Men league gives the chance to transfer some money to the new project. It will no doubt be an attractive one and one of a kind in Europe.
The idea is to have teams divided in two groups and a total of three tournaments. Then of course at the end of the season to have a Final 4 to determine the winner.
All of this will be discussed with the participating teams in EUROHOLD Balkan League at the pre-season meeting in Sofia on September 30th. After that more information will be available and will be clear whether the start of the Junior Balkan League is a real possibility.
