CEZ Nymburk tabs Drew Naymick
Il centro arriva dai Bakersfield Jam
Czech League champion CEZ Basketball Nymburk improved its frontcourt for the upcoming Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking center Drew Naymick to a one-year deal on Friday. Naymick (2.11 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Bakersfield, where he averaged 8.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 50 NBA Development League games last season. He has also played for Caceres 2016 C.B. in Spain and SKK Kotwica Kolobrzeg in Poland since finishing his four-year college career at Michigan State University (NCAA). He led the Spanish second division in blocks (1.9 bpg.) in the 2009-10 season and helped Kotwice to lift the Polish League trophy in 2009. Naymick also made it to the 2005 NCAA Tournament final four with the Spartans. "He is a very talented player that has improved every year. He works for the team, fights and is a good shot blocker," Nymburk head coach Neno Ginzburg said. "We will see how he will adapt to our playing style, but I personally think he will fit very well."
