Matjaz Smodis on his way to Krka Novo Mesto

Matjaz Smodis is close to penning a deal with Krka Novo Mesto where he will play next season and likely finish his career. Smodis, with that choice, returns back to the team that launched him to professional basketball in the season 1994-95.

Smodis has spent several years with CSKA Moscow and parted ways with the Russian powerhouse at the end of the season. Union Olimpija too was interested in the player.
