KK Buducnost adds Mario Scekic

KK Buducnost m:tel announced on Tuesday the addition of power forward Mario Scekic (207, 29) for the next season. Scekic arrives from EWE Baskets Oldenburg of the German League, where last season he played 10 Euroleague games averaging 8.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists in the Regular Season. In the German League, he improved those numbers to 8.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists. Scekic started his pro career in 1998 with Drina Zvornik of Bosnia, and after two years there he moved to Borac Nektar of the same country. In 2002-03 he was a sterter in the team for the Adriatic League averaging 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds. In 2004 he moved to Vojvodina Novi Sad in Serbia where he played three seasons before moving to Poland to join PGE Turow Zgorzelec as he reached the ULEB Cup Final Eight with the team averaging 7.1 points and 2.9 boards that season in the competition. He then moved to Germany where he joined Oldenburg in the summer of 2008 and last season he had the opportunity to make his Euroleague debut with the team.
