Igokea signs Rakocevic and Mirkovic
Rakocevic e Mirkovic arrivano nella squadra che disputerà la prossima Lega Adriatica
The Adriatic league newcomer Igokea Aleksandrovac announced signing of a one-year deal with Zarko Rakocevic and Branko Mirkovic.
Zarko Rakocevic is coming to Igokea from another Bosnian team - Bosna ASA BHT. The Montenegrin big guy appeared 11 times in Adriatic league last season averaging 11.2 points and 4.3 rebounds. He added 12 ppg and 4.3 rpg in Bosnian championship. Rakocevic joined Bosna ASA BHT in December last year from Partizan Belgrade. He spent season 2008/09 with the Serbian powerhouse as well. Rakocevic started basketball career with Buducnost Podgorica and stayed there until the end 2007/08 season. Than, he spent a short time with Ukrainian Khimik.
Branko Mirkovic arrives to Igokea from the Bulgarian powerhouse Lukoil Akademik. They defended the NBL title last season and Mirkovic helped them with 7.1 ppg, 1.9 rpg and 2.9 apg for 37 games. Before Lukoil Akademik, Mirkovic spent two years with Rilski Sportist Samokov. He was one of their best players in two years. In 2009, he was named Eurobasket.com All-Balkan League Guard of the Year and Rilski won the BIBL title. From 2005 to 2007 Mirkovic was a member of the FYR Macedonian team Pelister Bitola. In the past he also played for Smederevo.
