Prkacin no longer sees himself in a professional basket

Few hours after Cibona won the 2009 Croatian trophy the team's captain Nikša Prkačin announced that he no longer sees himself in a professional basket.

"As it looks this was my farewell from teh professional basketball, at least at such a quality level. I don't want to leave basketball when I will be of no use, that's why I decided now is the right moment. I still have the intention to help the national team this summer but than I will move to a club at a lower rang or I will retire" said Prkačin who still has a valid contract with Cibona. Prkačin, who will turn 34 in November, has been playing for Split, Cibona, Bešiktaš, Efes Pilsen, Dynamo Moscow and Panathinaikos during the last 16 years of his international career.
