Partizan wins Adriatic League

Partiza Belgrade won the edition 2008/09 of Adriatic League defeating in the final Cibona Zagreb 63-49. Serbian team overpowered the Croatian team since the beginning of the game. Vujosevic team suffered only at the end of the third period when Cibona scored 10 consecutive narrowing the gap to 4 points (47-43).

In the last quarter Partizan let Cibona score just 6 points and won the competition for the third straight year.

MVP one of the best European rising stars, Novica Velickovic who finished with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 fouls drawn. For Cibona of Velimir Perasovic named Coach of the Year, another good performance of Alan Anderson who scored 22 points with 4 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists and 7 fouls drawn.
