Adriatic League, Cibona-Partizan is the final

Cibona is the first finalist of the 2009 NLB League Final Four Tournament in Belgrade. The team from Zagreb defeated Hemofarm Stada in the semi-final 77-65 and reached only its second regional final since the beginning of this competition in 2001.

Cibona's only final so far dated in 2004, when the Final Four Tournament was played in Zagreb and Cibona surprisingly lost in the big final against Reflex (now FMP). Today's victory was also a nice reward for its coach Velimir Perasović, who was named the NLB League coach of the season by the decision of the NLB League board.

In the second semifinal Partizan won 64-58 the derby agains Red Star. Coach Perasovic team controlled the entire game winning three period and tied the other one. MVP Milenko Tepic who finished the game with 14 points and 19 of index rating. For Red Star Kikanovic scored 15 points.
