Zadar suspends ex NBAer Desmon Farmer

L'americano rischia il taglio per non essersi presentato alla partita

ABA Liga

Defending Croatian champion suspended Desmon Farmer (195-G-81, college: USC) yesterday. The American guard didn't show up on yesterday's practice and meeting before the game against Sibenka. According to the rumors, the reason of Farmer's decision not to show up is lack of payment.

'Desmon Farmer is suspended, but the final decision will be announced on Wednesday. It will most probably be contract termnation', said Branko Ljubicic, Zadar's PR Manager.

Desmon Farmer joined Zadar in February. He appeared 3 times in EuroCup averaging 13.3 ppg. In Adriatic league he had 11.8 ppg and 2.3 rpg in 4 games. The best digits he had in Croatian A1 league: 19 ppg. Farmer arrived to Croatia from the Russian team Spartak Primorie Vladivostok registering 13.2 ppg and 2.8 apg. Interesting is that at the beginning of this season he played 4 NBA games for San Antonio Spurs with 4.3 ppg and 2 rpg. Before the Spurs he played for NBDL team Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He also used to play for Seattle Sonics, CAI Zaragoza, Tulsa 66ers, Prokom Trefl Sopot, Oostende and Aris.

Yesterday Zadar devastated Sibenka 122-73. It currently has 4-1 record in A1 league. Zagreb is on top undefeated.
