Cibona releases Brent Wright
L'americano rilasciato per comportamento non professionale
Cibona today announced that Brent Wright (203-F/C-78, college: Florida) is no longer member of the club.
'BC Cibona terminated the contract with Brent Wright because of unprofessional behavior. Despite the team will miss a player of his qualities, especially as there is no possibility for hiring his replacement because of transfer deadline, the team's policy won't be changed', says Cibona's official statement.
Wrigth didn't show up on the airport for Dubrovnik, what is the reason of the club's decision. The player appeared 3 times with Cibona in Adriatic league averaging 21.7 ppg and 3.3 rpg. He started the season in Ukrainign BC Kyiv, but in March joined the Croatian squad. Season 07/08 he spent in Ural Great Perm. For 22 games in Russian Superleague Wright had 13.9 ppg, 7.2 rpg and 3.2 apg. In EuroCup he had 14.9 ppg and 6.9 rpg for 11 games. Interesting is that Brent Wright already played for Cibona on season 06/07. He was one of the team's best players with about 13 ppg and 7 rpg in all competitions. That season Cibona won the title in Croatian championship. In Adriatic league the team reached semifinals. In the past Brent Wright won Belgian, Latvian and Swedish championships. He graduated at Florida University in 2001.
