Micov rejected an offer from Lubiana
Il giovane talento del Montenegro ha rifiutato un'offerta dei campioni di Slovenia
One of the best players of the reigning Montenegrin champion, Vladimir Micov (201-F-85, agency: Beo Basket), rejected offer of the Slovenian champ Union Olimpija. The Saturday's game will be the last Micov's with Buducnost. According to Montenegrin media, Crvena Zvezda, who is at the same time Buducnost's rival this week-end, also wants to sign the player.
Vladimir Micov didn't want to comment this news, but he confirmed that he rejected Union Olimpija.
'Olimpija called me and offered contract for the rest of 08/09 and the entire 09/10 season. They wanted from me to decide right now as their transfer deadline is very soon. I was not able to make a decision so quick so I rejected that offer', said Micov.
It is not a secret that Spanish Tau Ceramica wanted to sign Micov last season. Spanish Pamesa also wanted him one moth ago. Vladimir Micov played all 25 games for Buducnost in Adriatic league this season averaging 13.6 ppg, 4 rpg and 2.5 apg.
In the meantime, Union Olimpija announced that young Milorad Sutulovic (197-G-90) is coming for try-out. He appeared only twice in the regional championship this season with Buducnost. Sutulovic is a member of Montenegrin U18 National Team. It is not known for how long he will stay on try out in Ljubljana, but if he satsfies coach Zdovc he will get a long term contract.
