Lovro Mazalin loaned to KK Zadar
Cedevita loaned the player to Zadar
Lovro Mazalin, 19-year old forward will play for Zadar in the forthcoming season. One of the greatest prospects of regional basketball is coming to Dalmatia on a one-year loan from Cedevita. He is expected to join Zadar practices immediately.
Mazalin was born in Sisak. He began playing basketball at KK Petrinja and afterwards moved from Cibona and from Cibona to city rival Cedevita, with which he agreed on a 4-year contract.
Last season he appeared in 11 ABA League games and while playing 10 minutes per game on average, he averaged 2.7 points and a rebound per contest. He made the biggest impact in the game against Tajfun, when he scored 13 points in 14 minutes spent on court.
This summer he took the fourth place with Croatia U20 national team at the B Division of European Championship. Mazalin was the key player of the team with an average of 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2.3 assists, while playing 30 minutes per game. Alongside his trophies, won with Cedevita on the club level, he also owns two medals from U18 European Championships from the years 2013 (silver) and 2014 (bronze).
