Cibona’s Ante Zizic named ABA Liga Top Prospect of the season
The player of Cibona was voted the best young player of the season
Ante Žižić of Cibona has been selected the 2015/16 ABA League Top Prospect in the voting of the ABA League coaches, fans and the ABA League itself. He won the contest ahead of Marko Gudurić of Crvena zvezda Telekom and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot of Mega Leks.
It's official – young gun Ante Žižić of Cibona Zagreb is the best young player of the season in the ABA League, as won this title in the voting contest of the head coaches of ABA League teams, ABA League fans and the ABA League commission.
The big guy from Dražen Petrović Arena has finished the voting with a total of 32.9% combined votes, ahead of Marko Gudurić of Crvena zvezda Telekom, who had 23% and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, who ended in the third place with 19.83% of combined votes.
Let's mention that Ante Žižić was on top of the votes in the head coaches' voting, ahead of Luwawu-Cabarrot, while in the voting of the fans, Gudurić took the first place ahead of Vanja Marinković of Partizan NIS.
For Ante Žižić this is the second season with Cibona and for sure it was a breakout for him. The youngster, that was given the role of Cibona's starting center, averaged 13.4 points, 8 rebounds and the valuation of 18. With these stats he became the top rebounder, 12th scorer and the 3rd in overall index rating rankings.
