Schedule for 2014/15 regular season determined
All ready for the start of the new ABA Liga season
The session of annual Assembly of ABA League clubs was held in Zagreb Panorama Hotel on Friday, where the draw for the 2014/15 season took place. The regular part of 14th ABA League season will start on 4 October 2014 and will last 21 March.
The schedule of playoffs will be determined during the season, since the results of the teams, which will compete in European competitions, will have an influence on the availability of playing dates.
At the Assembly of ABA League clubs, the club representatives were informed about the change of competition system to playoffs, which was unanimously supported by the members of the Assembly. They also received the report for the 2013/14 season.
The club representatives were also given the necessary information about the recent Union of European Leagues of Basketball (ULEB) and Euroleague Commercial Assets (ECA) meetings, held in Barcelona.
The club representatives were informed about the decision of ECA to give ABA League two places in the Euroleague and four in Eurocup in 2015/16 season.
The special emphasis was also put on the informing club representatives about the rules of financial fair-play, which is being introduced by Euroleague.
