Aba Liga will have the playoffs from next season

In accordance with the proposal of clubs, the assembly of ABA Sidro d.o.o., which had its session in Ljubljana on Tuesday, 1 July, unanimously confirmed an important change in competition format of ABA League, which will happen already in the 2014/15 season.

ABA Sidro d.o.o. assembly confirmed that the final part of the competition will change from current Final Four format to playoffs.
The best four teams of the regular season will play the playoffs, which will include semi-finals and finals. The semi-finals will be played in the best of three games format (1-1-1), while the finals will be best of five (2-2-1).
The 2014/15 season will start on 4 October 2014. The complete schedule of regular season will be determined at the assembly of ABA League clubs, which will take place on 11 July in Zagreb.
The assembly of ABA Sidro d.o.o. confirmed the financial report for 2013/14 season. Also, the assembly members were informed about the report of the latest Euroleague Commercial Assets (ECA) assembly, held in Barcelona on 25 June 2014.
All clubs, shareholders of ABA Sidro d.o.o., were present at the assembly session in Ljubljana.
