Deividas Gailius, Union Olimpija Ljubljana part ways

Deividas Gailius and Union Olimpija Ljubljana parted ways.The reason for the decision, which was officially confirmed on Thursday, were his problems with a knee injury, which prevented him to help Union Olimpija in the last phase of the national championship. The Lithuanian forward is still in the rehabilitation process but agreed to split with the Slovenian team despite the fact he had another year on his contract. Gailius was one of the team’s leaders in the 2013/14 Eurocup but had plenty of oscillations later in the season, which ended with an unpleasant injury. He averaged 12,7 points and 4,7 rebounds in ABA League and 16,1 points and 5,1 rebounds in Eurocup.
