Rasho Nesterovic wants to take over Union Olimpija as president

Slovenian legend Rasho Nesterovic wants to become the new president of Union Olimpija Ljubljana. This is what Nesterovic said to Sportske Novosti, reported by RTVSlo.si

"It is last moment that something changes. My motive is sportive, to help the club to get out of this agony. I see myself in a role that I have the last and only word in the club. I want to decide strategic questions, to have full responsibility either as a General Manager or President of the club. I do not want a role in the club where I need to protect the back of someone else. I want a role where I am the one who decides about the coaching staff, players and to be responsible for youth program. With one sentence, I want to be the one setting up the strategy of the club and being responsible for it. My goal is that at least 5000 people per game attend ABA League games in the future. We can do this only if we have domestic players and we play good basketball. There is not a lot of time for this, we need to see the situation right now and reorganize the club until May 1st."
