John Merchant III agrees to deal with Al Ahli Sports Club
He last played for Forssan Koripojat in Finland
American point guard John Merchant III has reached an agreement to sign in Qatar with Al Ahli Sports Club, Sportando has learned.
Merchant, a 28-year-old guard out of Dowling College, last played in Europe for Forssan Koripojat of the Finnish second division, averaging 22 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. He also has two-year experience in Italy as he spent his first seasons overseas with the Legnano Knights of the Italian Serie A2 and Piacenza Basket Club of the Serie C.
