Slobodan Subotic leaves Al Riyadi due to personal reasons
The coach left the Lebanese team
Slovenian-Greek Head Coach Slobodan Subotic decided to leave Lebanese powerhouse Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut today. Coach Subotic stepped down from the head coaching position in Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut due to personal reasons. He was head coach of Sporting Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut Beirut since 2012 until now.
Slobodan "Pixi" Subotic had a very succesfull part of his career in Lebanon, as he won Lebanese League in 2014, 2015, 2016. He also won Arab Club Championships in 2014 and Asian Club Championships in 2012. His team also won Al Hariri Tournament in 2012, Dubai International Tournament 2013 and 2015. Before moving to Lebanon, coach Subotic had a great coaching career in top European clubs such as Iraklis, AEK, Panathinaikos, Panionios, PAOK, Olympiacos, Jesi, Split and Cedevita. He won Korac Cup in 1997, Greek League in 1998, 1999 (both times named Coach of the Year in Greece) and many other trophies. Coach Subotic was also Head Coach of Slovenian National Team.
