Best of CBA 2014-2015: Andray Blatche
The Philippines big man showed his technical power in a wretched season for his team
Andray Blatche was the highest salary signing in the CBA this season. Pairing up with Jordan Crawford, raising star Zhou Qi and former national team starting point guard Liu Wei the new signings immediately put Xinjiang as top contenders for the championship. However things did not go as planned and injuries to Jordan Crawford and poor overall play eventually dropped Xinjiang out of the playoffs and on the last game of the season as Dongguan beat Beijing it was confirmed that the unimaginable had occured and the Xinjiang Flying Tigers season was over and did not even make the playoffs. Andray Blatche had played for the Philipines before coming to China and was much expected to dominate the league. Individually he showed incredible skill set for a big man and was able to dominate at occasions. However, for various reasons he was not able to lead the team to victory on many occasions.
