Emmanuel Mudiay won't be waived for the moment
He's recovering from an injury
Guangdong Southern Tigers have announced the signing of Will Bynum on a temporary deal to replace rookie Emmanuel Mudiay, who's injured right now. But Mudiay won't be waived, at least not now. His timetable for a recovery is 3-4 weeks and the chinese team will evaluate his situation during his period.
If he won't recover at well and Bynum will make good performances, then the Guangdong will likely waive him. As reported by Jonathan Givony, from Mudiay's standpoint, his mission was completely accomplished because he got a huge sponsorship deal with Under Armour and showed NBA teams that he can play pro basketball.
