Melvin Ely to sign with Gunma Crane Thunders in Japan
He played in D-League last season
As reported by Ed Odeven, Melvin Ely, former NBA big man, has agreed in terms to a deal with BJ league team Gunma Crane Thunders for next season.
Ely must pass a physical exam before signing the contract. Last season Ely played in D-League with Texas Legends, averaging 15.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
The new head-coach of Gunma Crane Thunders is Charlie Parker, who worked as assistant-coach for Texas Legends last season, so he knows very well Ely.
