Source: Courtney Sims, Byblos agree to deal
The 34-year-old big man last played in South Korea
Free-agent center Courtney Sims has reached an agreement on a deal with Byblos of the Lebanese Basketball League, a source told Sportando.
Sims, 34, last played in South Korea for Seoul, averaging 13.4 points and 9.7 rebounds in 26.2 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-11 big man out of the University of Michigan started his professional career in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers in 2007, playing three games before he was waived and finished the season in the NBA D-League (now G League) with the Iowa Energy (now Wolves). The following season, he returned to Iowa and averaged 22.8 points and 11 rebounds per game, earning the MVP award and NBA call-ups to the Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks.
He had also stints in Europe with CSKA Moscow and VEF Riga before moving to South Korea, where he played in the last five seasons.
This will be Sims' first experience in Lebanon.
