Guangdong is trying to sign Mike James

James was waived by the Phoenix Suns last week

According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, Chinese side Guangdong is trying to make a strong push to sign American point guard Mike James. The player was waived by the Phoenix Suns last week and has already received interest also from Europe. But James' priority, for the moment, is to remain in the NBA.

League sources say Guangdong is making a hard push to convince ex-Suns guard Mike James to sign in China. James, of course, has been searching for a new NBA home since the 27-year-old rookie parted ways with Phoenix last week.
